It’s like magic when the band are making the groove all together and you can tell they are pulling musical ideas out of the air. But how do they do it? And how can you get started in doing it too?
Join members of Interplay jazz group in this entry-level music improvisation workshop to have fun and try out some simple techniques for making new music with other people. Some material in the workshop will come from the ‘Jazz Meets Dancehall’ gig on 6th August.
Adrian Litvinoff has been active as a music workshop leader for over 15 years. He has run sessions for people of all abilities and ages from 3 to 93. Alan Wakeman has many years’ experience of different genres of improvisation and as a music teacher.
